There is a place on the Galana River where the river bends sharply where Hippo's can be seen regularly. For two days at 5.30 till Dusk we watched these with the ever deepening glow of the setting sun on their backs.

With the subtle sounds of Africa all around broken by the rasping grunts of the Hippo's, the rich orange glow deepened until suddenly the sun had gone.

These two evenings were a marvellous experience.
